FPL Gameweek 4 – Buy, Sell, Keep

Gameweek 4 isn’t upon us just yet — we have an international break to navigate first. However, it’s the perfect time to reassess your squad ahead of the next round. Form, injuries, suspensions, and upcoming fixtures are all shaping transfer decisions. Prices mentioned are accurate as of 04/09/2025. Here’s your guide on who to Buy, Keep, or Sell heading into GW4.

jack grealish vs wolves

Grealish looks back to his best now that he’s been given freedom at Everton, reminiscent of his Aston Villa days. With 4 assists in just 2 starts, he’s quickly become one of the top scorers this season. If you’re looking for a high-upside midfield pick, Grealish is in form and should continue to deliver.

Senesi has been a rock in defence, coming off the back of two impressive performances: 9 points vs Wolves and 14 vs Spurs. The Brighton centre-back has already racked up 43 points in 3 appearances this season, making him a safe pick. His upcoming fixtures against Newcastle, Leeds, Fulham, Palace, and Nottingham Forest make him an attractive, reliable choice.

Semenyo had a strong start to the season, and despite blanking vs Spurs, he accumulated 10 DEFCONs — just 2 shy of earning 2 DEFCON fantasy points. His 0.65 xGI per 90 minutes, combined with favourable fixtures (same as Senesi’s), make him a great attacking option to bring into your squad.

cole palmer injury gameweek 1

Palmer missed Gameweeks 2 and 3 due to injury but looks set to return in GW4 after the international break. Chelsea are showing good attacking form, and Palmer is likely to get involved in goals again, possibly even taking penalties. If you already own him, it’s wise to hold for now.

Watkins has had a slow start, scoring just 6 points in 3 games. Despite that, Villa have a favourable run of fixtures coming up, including Everton, Sunderland, Fulham, and Burnley. His underlying stats — lots of shots in the box and a 1.13 xG so far — suggest it’s only a matter of time before he starts converting chances. Keep him for the upcoming fixtures.

sarr injury

Cherki has struggled for consistent gametime, and a recent injury now sidelines him. Expected back on 26th October, his minutes are likely to be limited even when fit. With fantastic options available such as Grealish, Semenyo, Gakpo, and Mbeumo, it’s difficult to justify holding onto him. A clear sell this week, and maybe for the season.

Sarr has had a strong start to the season, but a hamstring injury in Gameweek 3 (grade 2, expected 3–6 weeks out) puts him out at a crucial time. Sunderland and West Ham are coming up, but the lengthy layoff makes keeping him risky unless you have strong bench cover. Selling is the safest move.

That wraps up our GW4 Buy, Keep, Sell guide ahead of the international break. Use this time to plan your transfers carefully, monitor injuries, and keep an eye on form and fixtures. By the time Gameweek 4 kicks off, you’ll be ready to make the right moves and stay ahead in your FPL leagues. Stay tuned for our full gameweek analysis once the action resumes!
